Then think about how you would feel about this ten years from now, by which time you could be in a loving relationship with a new ability and a stronger sense of self-love than ever before. Is that incentive enough? You decide.
Forgive those who have hurt you- it’ll make you a better person and make you more likeable anyway. The happiness is another bonus.
If it’s not a big deal to you, it shouldn’t be an issue to others. But remember, laughing at something that really injures your self-esteem is a no. It just gives others the feeling that they too can do that to you.
Not in the past or the future. When you live in the present moment, instead of worrying about the future and those things you cannot control, you can focus on those experiences and personal relationships that bring you the most pleasure, no matter how small.
Find something that gives your life meaning, be it being a great friend, sibling, parent, grandparent, teacher, neighbor, etc. Once you have found something to live for, you’ll live better.
When you wake up every morning, stand in front of the mirror, give a big smile, and just give yourself a complement. It’s a lot easier than it sounds.
